Submersible Pumps

PD Pumps are the sole UK agent for Robot Submersible pumps, specifically designed to pump liquids containing solids.

Specified for use in such applications as wastewater treatment, sewage handling and treatment, food processing and water control. The Robot Submersible pumps are also used worldwide in the shipbuilding, steel working, mining, textile production and paper pulping sectors.

Options

Submersible Pump and Dry Install Pump options include explosion-proof models built to ATEX and FM standards, single-phase motors up to 1.4kW, seal leak monitors, and thermostats in the motor windings.

Composition and manufacture

A class F motor, working up to 155°C, runs on heavy-duty bearings which are greased for life. A stainless steel drive shaft is sealed by two independent mechanical seals, running in oil. Back vanes prevent solids entering the seal area, and reduce the pressure on the seals. All bolts and nuts are stainless steel.

Assistance with specification and design is always available from us directly or by using RoboSel ®, a programme designed for friction loss calculations, and alternative system dimensioning. With RoboSel ® it is easy to select the most suitable pump for your applications.

Installation and maintenance

Submersible Pumps and Dry Installed Pumps are supplied for third party installation. Although failures are rare, PD Pumps hold a wide range of spares in stock, and provides off-site repair services.
