RD Wear Resistant Vortex Slurry Pumps are designed for the continuous transport of highly abrasive solids. The RD wear resistant slurry pumps follow the same design as RW vortex pumps, but with Ni Hard 4 hydraulic components – a lightweight material which is harder than silica or quartz sand. Any wear that is sustained is spread evenly over the impeller, thus having a limited effect on the output of the pump. Optional agitators can be supplied, which can further increase the density of the mixture that can be handled. For extremely severe conditions, a dredge pump is available. With this model, the cables and shaft seal can be replaced without opening the hermetically sealed housing.
